The Jesus and Mary Chain return to Sydney for the 30th anniversary of their seminal debut album Psychocandy, played in full along with their favourites, in a huge night of music at the Big Top.

Legendary Scottish post-punk trailblazers have rarely performed in the past decade, so we are proud to have The Jesus and Mary Chain playing their ground-breaking album in its entirety, in their only Sydney performance. Donned in black leather with a riotous attitude and their back-to-basics approach to music, The Jesus and Mary Chain challenged the charts in the ’80s and ’90s, going on to influence bands such as Nirvana and My Bloody Valentine among others.

Spectrum Now Festival’s Big Top @ The Domain will be hosting an incredible evening of stellar music with Seekae‘s eight-bit, synth-heavy industrial electronica, effortlessly humanised by the sultry vocals of Alex Cameron,  Canadian outfit Alvvays who won the love of many with their heart-breaking melancholic debut album last year, multi-disciplinary artist Meg Remy’s intrusive work as U.S. Girls loading lo-fi pop with empathy-inducing emotion, and Australia’s own Jonathan Boulet, recently back from three years in Europe after trading synth melodies for heavy feedback with his 2014 indie rock effort, Gubba.

Step through vintage velvet drapes into an ornate bazaar interior, and immerse yourself in a mind-blowing international line-up in this not-to-be-missed venue.
